Situated in the Mt Isa Super Basin — the world’s greatest base metal province — Paperbark includes an established JORC compliant mineral resource of 10Mt @ 3% Zn+Pb, at the JB Prospect.
Pursuit will look to increase and enhance this existing resource, with the objective of demonstrating the potential to deliver an economic zinc-lead project. The Paperbark project benefits from close proximity to excellent existing infrastructure related to the recently closed Century Zinc Mine.
As well as a promising zinc and lead project, Paperbark has the potential to deliver early to medium term cash flows through the development of an operation based upon extensive copper oxide mineralisation at the surface, which has never been previously fully assessed. Extensive surface copper anomalies and coper sulphide mineralisation intersected in drill hole JB8 (6m @ 1.1% Cu), also point to the potential for a significant copper deposit to occur at Paperbark.
Pursuit Minerals has defined drilling targets for Paperbark and the exploration program for the site is ready, offering the opportunity to begin adding value in the short term.
